HackFirstAid
Privacy policy
Last updated: May 20, 2026
This privacy policy applies to about.hackfirstaid.com — the family index for the HackFirstAid sibling sites. Each of the eight sibling sites publishes its own privacy policy covering audience-specific tooling. This page covers the index site only.
What we collect
We collect only what you submit through the contact form on this site: name, email, organisation (optional), topic, message, and the timestamp of your submission.
We use Plausible Analytics to measure aggregate traffic to this site (page views, referrers, country, device class). Plausible is a privacy-respecting, EU-hosted analytics service. It is cookieless, collects no personal information, does not fingerprint visitors, and is never used for advertising, remarketing, or cross-site tracking. We do not run Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight, session-replay tools, or any equivalent on this site.
Why we collect it
To reply to your inquiry. That's it. We do not enrol you in marketing sequences, sell your data, share it with brokers, or hand it to partners. If your inquiry is better handled by a sibling site, we may forward it internally — only to a HackFirstAid team member, never to a third party.
How long we keep it
Contact submissions are retained for as long as is reasonably useful to follow up (typically up to 24 months) and then deleted. You can ask us to delete your submission at any time by emailing privacy@hackfirstaid.com.
Where it's stored
Submissions are stored on infrastructure operated by Supabase (PostgreSQL hosted in Canada / North America). Transport is TLS-encrypted. Access is limited to authorised HackFirstAid personnel.
Your rights
If you're in Canada (PIPEDA), the EU/UK (GDPR / UK-GDPR), or California (CCPA / CPRA), you have the right to access, correct, port, or delete your personal information held by us, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Email privacy@hackfirstaid.com to exercise any of these.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in jurisdictions where that is the applicable threshold). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page when this policy changes. Material changes will be flagged on the home page for at least 30 days.
